Breaking Dawn: Was It Worth the Wait?

This past Saturday the long awaited fourth book in Stephenie Meyers Twilight series was finally released. Since then there have been thousands of shocked and disappointed as well as thrilled and excited fans. What are your thoughts?

Was it the best book in the series, the worst? We're you happy with how the series ended? Did SM stay true to Bella and Edward's characters?

Was it worth the wait??

Get Graphic @ Wadsworth Library

The graphic novels are here! Wadsworth Library was awarded a $500 grant from Pioneer Library System allowing us to add over 40 new graphic novels. Now that they are here we want your input! Do you have favorite series, characters, or individual titles? Are there graphic novels that we didn't purchase that you would like to see here at the library? Now is your chance to give us feedback.

For each graphic novel that you read from now until the end of August fill out a graphic review form and put it in the jug. At the end of the summer we will have a drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Joe's Comics in Geneseo.

For titles of recently purchased graphic novels check out the posts below.

The more you review the better your chances to win!

What's New?

*New Titles at the Wadsworth Library*

Slam -Sam is a disarmingly ordinary 15-year-old kid who loves to skate (that's skateboarding, to you and me). But then he is blindsided: his girlfriend gets pregnant, and he lands in the middle of his mum's nightmare (she had Sam when she was 16). Sam, also has a sort-of-imaginary friend: the world's greatest skater, Tony Hawk, whose poster Sam talks to when he has problems. And the poster talks back, maybe, or maybe Sam is just reciting quotes from Tony's autobiography. And is it really Tony who is "whizzing" Sam into the future for glimpses of what is to come?

Princess Mia - A princess on her own . . .

Mia has been invited to speak at a gala for Domina Rei, an elite society of powerful businesswomen. But what could she possibly have to say? Now that Michael has broken things off, Mia can barely get out of bed, and her parents are making her see a therapist. School, where Lilly still refuses to speak to her and Lana suddenly wants to be bff, is a total nightmare. What's a royal to do? Just when things couldn't get worse, Mia uncovers an old family secret, a long-forgotten diary of a teenage princess of Genovia. It could be just the thing to help Mia write her speech—but it might also change the fate of the Renaldos forever.

Safe - To Tracy, safe means having Mama close by. Years after her mother’s death, Tracy still feels her presence. But the moment Tracy is forced into a car as she is walking home from school one day, safe is ripped away. In the aftermath of an unspeakable crime, thirteen-year-old Tracy must fight her way back to safety and find comfort in her mother’s memory once again.

Tamar - It was her taciturn but beloved grandfather, William Hyde, who gave Tamar her strange name. But in 1995, when she was 15, he committed suicide, leaving her to wonder if she knew him at all. Later, when she opens the box of War II memorabilia that he left her, she's struck by the need to find out what it means, who he really was, and where she fits in. Tension mounts incrementally in an intricate wrapping of wartime drama and secrecy, in which Tamar finds her namesake and herself. Forming the backbone of the novel are intense, sometimes brutal events in a small Dutch town in Nazi-occupied Holland and the relationship between the girl's namesake, a member of the Dutch Resistance; Dart, a code operator assigned to help him; and Marijke, the love of his life.

More to come...
